Outside of her clinical work she can be found traveling, dancing, and visiting quaint shops.

    In her own words...

" I became a sexuality counselor because I discovered that many individuals and couples dealing with sexuality issues were suffering in silence instead of seeking out someone trained to help them. Helping individuals and couples develop the confidence to acknowledge themselves as sexual beings, learn how to name their needs and desires, and be able to achieve what gives them pleasure and satisfaction, are the things that drive my passion and work.”

  • Dr. John G. Smith is Claudia's spouse of thirty-eight years, and a part-time consultant and sexuality counselor at Your Sexuality Matters. The focus of his clinical work in sexology is in erotophobia and helping couples rekindle their sexual desire.

John's primary work for the past thirty-nine years has been in providing pastoral leadership in cross cultural/cross racial settings, with a focus on leadership development, community engagement, pastoral counseling and family life education. He holds degrees in theology from the Graduate Theological Foundation and Christian Theological Seminary, both in Indiana, and from the United Theological College of the West Indies, and the University of the West Indies, Kingston, Jamaica. His doctoral study in clinical sexology was done at the American Academy of Clinical Sexologists in Orlando, Florida. He has also attained post-degree certifications in Logotherapy at the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotheray in Texas, and in Violence Against Women and Gerontology at Rutgers University, New Jersey.
